Introduction Queer Cinema has been in existence but without a name and it identified with avant-garde cinema. Queer Cinema was introduced at Toronto Film Festival as a concept in 1991.Queer Theory basically is the concept of the dominant group fight with the minority group. Dominant group always think about themselves first and put less concern about the minority group. Queer Theory is about to remind the audiences there has minority group that people did not pay attention. Therefore, Queer Theory is interesting in the topic of homosexuality such as lesbian and gay. The main purpose of documentary film is for instruction, education, or introducing a historical story. Documentaries filmmakers are assumed to observe the events and make objective record of the events. Theory Discussion   Bill Nichols claims that we should look at the particular techniques that applied in the documentaries film. We can observe the techniques uses by filmmakers and see how they record or shape the events for example the way they represent the documentary. There are six modes of representation suggested by Nichols which are Poetic, Expository, Observational, Interactive, Reflexive, and Performative. Introduction French New Wace is a film movement started in 1959 with Breathless by Jean-Luc Godard. French New Wave break all the traditional path and follow the literature. This film movement ended in 1969 because the form of cinema has embedded into mainstream and developed their own styles. Theory Discussion A group of film lover watched many previously unreleased movies but they unable to get into French commercial cinema. Introduction This week movie is about film noir, The Maltese Falcon (directed by John Huston, 1941) is one of the famous film noir. Film noir is a term coined by Fren critics in 1946s. Noir is the word from French which means black so the film noir are usually in black and white. In historical context, film noir is influence by the World War II and the Cold War in United States.
